I’ve just realized that the two are similar in that they are both “different”, and you could say that they are both “damaged goods”. That was the only heartbreaking kill besides the cat.Īndy and Chucky’s relationship was sweet, at first anyway. And Mike’s mother, I loved her! She didn’t deserve to be killed. As for the d-bag boyfriend (who by the way is married which is messed up!), I only felt bad for his wife and kids who find his corpse the next morning. I hate that he killed the family’s cat just because he scratched Andy. And he was genuinely hurt when Andy and his friends took his battery out.īut he turned into a sadistic, psychotic killer, and it wasn’t immediately like in the first Child’s Play Movie it was a process. “I’m sorry, Andy.” Aww, that was a sincere apology and the look on his face.man. He felt remorse when he accidentally hurt Andy. Yeah, he was obsessed with Andy, but he just wanted to be his friend. He even helped Andy come out of his shell and make new friends in his new neighborhood. He was kinda like E.T, curious, naive, and overly friendly. Dude, I feel you, and I’M a millennial!Īs for Chucky, himself, he started out.sweet. I loved Mike’s reaction: (mumble) “millennials”. The group of kids who were hanging out with Andy made fun of Mike behind his back and became tense and stopped playing when he looked their way. You know, she acted more like a friend than a mother to him in my opinion.ĭetective Mike is a representation of the misunderstood cops that have to take sh** from the so-called “rebels” these days. The was kinda more like a big sister to him. But Andy is a kind boy who appreciates his Mom and I love that. Andy actually pointed that out to his Mom in the movie and I giggled. The message of the film is clearly this: don’t trust smart devices and never let them drive your freakin’ car for you!Īndy is a lot older than his 1988 version, and I’ve told my friend that it would be odd for a preteen boy to own a doll that’s clearly made for younger kids. I tensed up when they showed that Buddi doll watching over the tiny cute baby in the commercial and singing that creepy song. By the way, the teddy versions of Buddi were just as creepy. Well, he was partially right a depressed Vietnamese factory worker tampered with a Buddi doll in act of revenge against his abusive boss then killed himself. Months ago, a friend of mine told me that Chucky would be possessed by the soul of an overworked Chinese factory worker who committed suicide. I thought they would ruin the franchise (but they’ve already done that with Seed of Chucky I guess). Another great remake of a classic film! I was worried when I heard that the Child’s Play remake was going to be about an A.I.
